Selection Criteria

• Consultant installs and tunes on MVS, VSE and MVT operating systems
• Consultant knows all versions and releases of CICS
• Consultant is well known throughout the industry
• Consultant has spoken at IBM and other vendor meetings as a keynote speaker
• Consultant has been installing and tuning for at least 20 years
• Consultant develops system software for third party vendors
• Consultant is an application design expert, and has solved major performance and reliability affecting thousands of users at various sites
• Consultant is familiar with most CICS application packages and their idiosyncrasies
• Consultant tunes VTAM and NCP
• Consultant is an expert on modems and other communication equipment
• Consultant is a VSAM expert
• Consultant provides complete CICS install and tuning in 5 days
• Consultant develops and provides tuning software used to monitor CICS system and application performance
• Software can be used for up to one year at no additional charge
• Consultant includes source code for the automatic terminal definition facility with CICS installs
• Consultant provides one year of technical support by phone
• Consultant provides operating documentation for CICS and VTAM
• Consultant provides long-range planning for future growth and new software
• Consultant works with IBM which make valuable information available to him (he cannot always divulge all information, but can plan for changes)
