MG Technologies has installed VTAM and NCP on MVS and VSE since their release. Our broad experience with VTAM and NCP can really make a difference.

Unfortunately, most companies don't do much to VTAM and NCP once they get them to work. There are literally hundreds of parameters that can affect performance. Although VTAM and NCP may appear to work correctly, your users may be suffering unnecessarily longer response times.

In addition, most companies actually run with an overloaded 37x5 communication controller! This leads to running 56KB lines at the speed of 9600 lines! We will identify these problems using our Terminal Transmission Time Analyzer. You will find a sample screen in the CICS software section. We will then provide suggestions on how to improve speed on the overloaded 37x5.
